New Location Supports Staff, Client Growth for Thriving

SAN FRANCISCO—October 26, 1998—Applied Communications Corp. today announced the formal opening of its new headquarters in San Francisco’s China Basin Landing building, a short "home run" away from the new Pacific Bell Park. Applied’s space, designed by architects Richard Pollack & Associates, will support the agency’s continued staff and client growth, including 40 professionals and pioneering clients such as Oracle, StorageTek, Walker, Informatica, CacheFlow, Aeneid and Verano.

Applied’s move to San Francisco caps seven years of operation from Burlingame, Calif., where the firm earned a reputation as high technology’s premier public relations agency for network-centric computing. Earlier this year, Applied won the Software Marketing Award for "Best PR Strategy and Program" based on the agency’s work to launch the Oracle8™ database. In March 1998, the agency also opened its first European office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, providing pan-European services to U.S. and European-based clients.
